Download the Echo app from the App Store (currently iOS only, Android coming soon). Create an account, then tap "Add Pet" to set up your pet's profile. When prompted, hold your phone near the NFC tag to link it. Once linked, attach the tag to your pet's collar — it's ready to use immediately and never needs charging.

When a finder taps their phone to your pet's tag, a profile page opens instantly in their browser — no app required. They see your pet's name, photo, and a triage screen asking whether the pet is lost, injured, or just out for a walk. You receive a real-time push notification with the finder's GPS location. If you've enabled contact options, the finder can call or message you directly from the same screen.

Open the Echo app and activate Lost Mode for your pet's tag. This updates the finder's scan page to prominently flag the pet as missing, and enables location-based notifications — every tag scan sends you a push notification with the approximate GPS location of the scan. You can deactivate Lost Mode at any time once your pet is home safe.

The Health Passport is a digital medical record for your pet. Just photograph any vet invoice, lab report, or vaccination document — Echo's AI reads, organises, and explains the content automatically. It builds up your pet's vaccination history, allergy list, and current medications over time. You can share the full record with a veterinarian using a 4-digit access code — no login or portal required on their end.

No — you have full control. By default, finders see only your pet's name and photo. You choose whether to show a phone number, email, or other contact methods. Your home address and full name are never displayed. We also offer an anonymous messaging option so finders can reach you without seeing your personal details.

All data is stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany) and processed in accordance with GDPR. We never sell your data to third parties. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time — see our Privacy Policy for full details.
